I'm still debating whether to get the 42PV500 or Samsung 40" TFT. Can someone please comment on how the 42PV500 will perform gaming-wise compared to a (good) TFT (the samung has a 8ms screen, which is fast enough for gaming). Also, the TFT supports a 1368x760 resolution (downscales to 1280x720 for 720p) while the Panasonic does 1024x768 (thus upscaling to get 1280x720). What tv set will look best for those games then?

Other concerns are analog signal quality and DVD quality. Your advice?

The PV500 will be excellent for gaming - I use my xbox and will be using the 360, just think of the PV500 as a normal TV.

The PV500 is also excellent for normal TV viewing, DVD's etc.
