Now my new tv is on its way I'm thinking of upgrading my old Sony DAV-Z260 and Sony blu-ray player with a Panasonic SC-BTT590.

This will save me all the hassle of optical switches and multiple hdmi leads to the TV.

My question is,does the Panasonic have "disc memory"

If for instance, I watch half of Sin city, and my wife takes out the disc and watches Mamma mia, when I put in my disc will it remember where I had watched up to?

My Sony does this with up to 10 discs and is a very useful feature.

Thanks in advance

It ought to, but you'll have to see whether any other member happens to have it to be sure - or ask Panasonic?;)

Try downloading the online manual.

Try downloading the online manual.

I've had a look at the manual, and it says if you stop a dvd, and afterwards press play, it will resume from where you left off.
I assume this will also work if you turn off the system.

However, it says nothing about what will happen if you remove the disc and play something else, then put the disc back in.

This is what I am trying to find out.

Only another user of the same machine, or the makers, can tell you.

Yes, and I'm sure Panasonic would respond to an enquiry about their product.
