I am interested in purchasing a Panasonic DVDS97EBS DVD player, but my TV will only support HDMI via its DVI port if HDCP is not enabled. Does anyone know if this will work ?

I'm beginning to worry that I've wasted my money on this TV.

Samsung LW22A13. Samsung confirm that it doesn't support HDCP, but it will support unencrypted input via the DVI-I connector.

To be honest, I wouldn't have thought so as the data stream will be encrypted.

This appears to be the UK manual for the player. No mention of HDCP is made. However, it does say that DVD-Audio discs may enforce CPPM over digital connections, but I am not bothered by that as I don't own any DVD-A discs.

My understanding is that any HDMI output is HDCP as its in the HDMI specifications.

HDMI has HDCP as part of the specification. The Samsung players used to be able to hack the HDCP, but that function has been removed on the never versions.
