Hy, i have a 32' Panasonic TV (TX-32PX10) and Panasonic DVD-S47.these days i was testing my computer's TV-out and i discovered that, by default, the DVD player applies a zoom to the image...
I took a screenshot using PowerDVD and the differences are quite visible(the aspect ratio of the picture is wrong because of the maximum 800X600 allowed resolution for the uploaded pictures). You can see how much of the image is lost.
I went to a local electronics store and checked another Panasonic DVD player on a Panasonic Palsma -> the same result. Then i checked on a Samsung DVD and Samsung Plasma -> the same result.
As you can see from the image, the white rectangle is what my DVD/TV actually displays.
I repeat, i got the same results with a Samsung DVD and plasma.

    What is going on here???

Is there any setting i can't find? Can you make a test to see how your DVD/Tv displays the image compared to a computer?

I must add that the "Zoom" setting on the DVD is set to 0...
