Panasonic S20 Flicker, am I seeing things?

Hi all, we bought an S20 from comet today(s21)... but as title of thread suggests both my wife and I can see flicker.. I have just read the post re G20 flicker and wondered if the S20 is similarly problematic. I would also appreciate a little guidance as I think its worse from my 'peripheral' vision, but can see it periodically. Is this typical? The wife can see it as well, so maybe we both have "ninja" vision. The TV in store didnt do it, as I could see.... Can someone express what my rights are with Comet, am I going to get into a bun fight with them re; it does flicker vs it does not...? I plan to take it back into the shop rather than phone in advance is this a wise tactic?
Thx

All plasmas flicker, I'm afraid, and we each have our own sensitivities to it. I can sense it in every one of their range, with the annoying exception being their bottom of the range HD Ready screen! I'm about to buy and have resolved to just get used to it. I've seen plasma screens in film editing suites flickering too, so in a way I guess it's industry standard...

As for your set, I suppose it's down to the store and their returns policy. If they've got a satisfaction guarantee you might want to change your screen for an LCD-based screen I'd say. Your energy bill will thank you, too.

I don't know their returns policy, sorry. You should call or go into the store you bought it from. If you'd like to take it back it would be advisable to stop using it, I'd say.

TV returned, cash returned by Comet fair play to them. The staff in the shop could see it too, so maybe I just got unlucky?

Hi FBW.. your comments re the lower end pannys interest me was it the X range or the C range..... is the lack of flicker because these tvs are lower refresh rate...?

All Panasonic's flicker (unlike Samsung & LG) the X10 I believe is the one model which flicker is less noticeable on & don't be put of by it not being full HD it's a fine set & shows SD better than higher end models!

Seriously all Panasonics flicker - fact! But it depends if you are sensitive to it or not, fortunately I'm not so it's not a problem :) but there's nothing to say your guests will not see it :)
