I am thinking about buying the panasonic dmres20d. i currently own a toshiba sd330 and ronin m280(portable).ive just tried playing dvd -r discs and they work fine in both players.does this mean that dvd -rw discs that i would record in the panny would also work in both of my players. thanks

I only use DVD-RAM discs with the Panasonic as they are better than DVD-RW so cannot answer your question. There is a remark on compatability on this forum :

DVD-RAM discs will only playback on certain DVD players such as the Panasonics, JVC and NAD. Plus of course in all the other recorders which support RAM such as Panasonic, JVC, Toshiba, Hitachi and Samsung and also the LG and Panasonic PC DVD Writers.
