Hi, I have two panasonic plasma TVs in separate rooms, why when I switch one TV off does the TV switch off in the other room?

Assuming you DON'T want this to happen ;) , look in the User Manual for both TVs to see if it possible to use an alternative frequency (or ID) for ONE of the remotes.

Panasonic TV remotes use infra red so both TVs must be able to 'see' the off (and other) commands you send? If the TVs are in separate rooms and not both visible this can't happen, though? If so, then - if one or both TVs can have their remote control I'd changed that will cure it.
    Or
Are both TVs connected by hdmi to the same device and is Viera Link (CEC) causing this? In that case disabling Viera Link on the TV you want to remain on should fix that?
    Or
Do you have some form of infra red remote extender system(s) in use?
