    Hi,

My trusty Panasonic RA71 is apparently dying on me. :(

    Considering several options for replacement,

    1) Panasonic S75.
    2) Pioneer 565
    3) Pioneer 3100 recorder (I like the idea of DVD recording)

Right, the replacement must be at least as capable for films and cd replay. I don't really use the DVD audio capabilities of the RA71 so that's of no issue.

My tv is a fairly old Panasonic widescreen TX28LD4DP connected to the DVD player via RGB scart.

I have read on these forums that the Pioneer 565 has problems with some Panasonic tv's and RGB scart.

The final option of the Pioneer 3100 seems like a good possibility to me as long as it is as good a player as the RA71 and doesn't suffer the same problems with Panasonic tv's as the 565

    Thoughts and suggestions please?

    Thanks
    Ben
