Hi friends, what do you guys think of the viera stand?. I do not have a place to put the tv on the wall. I am getting a 42" px60 PED version BUT was wondering if its worth paying extra for the viera stand or just get a homemade stand.

PS the tv is ex display for £400 is that a good deal?

It really is a matter of choice.

For me I wanted a stand with 3 shelves and some sort of cable management system which the PX60 stand has. I like the stand a lot but the PX60 now that's another matter!

If you can find a PX60 you could get this for £700 - £800 new so it is really up to you if you think that £400 is OK.

Do try and find out how many hours it has run though and if it has any retention/burn problems as most shops just stick them on display set to Dynamic with the brightness & contrast ramped all the way up.

    I do like it.

Loved my first one less the Purple Snakes.

My second one had a very loud buzz as well as the Snakes so I just aint prepared to give them another go to try and get it right.
