    hey,
i am interested in buying thismodel plasma (TH-42PWD6UY )
in the US i found it for $2,799 +$50 shipping the cheapest although i heard this site is usually out of stock ( http://www.tristatecamera.com/lookat.php3?refid=3&sku=PANTH42PWD6UY ), the second best price is $3000 + $175 shipped

    are these good prices?

also what is the difference between the silver and black versions? I noticed on some site the TV is 220 V and on others its 120 V, i dont think i will be able to use the 220 V one

That seems about the going rate (about the same price in dollars as we pay in pounds in the UK!). Here is a search with some other sites:

    http://www.plasmatvshopper.com/plasma-prices/model/113

If you are buying the US model in the US, it will be 120V; 220V must be a mistake, or you were looking at a non-US model.

In the UK the only difference between the black and silver is the colour.... not 100% sure in the US. The site below has more US info (but note they are not allowed to talk prices!).

I've also read that in general they are hard to get in the US currently - most suppliers are out of stock until after Christmas.
