I'm about to get a PW6 from AV-Sales, just wanted to check with you guys regarding the quality of picture from the PW6's VGA connector.

I will be doing all video switching via a Denon 3805. I'm therefore thinking that I need just one component > VGA cable from the Denon to the plasma and nothing else. I'm working on the assumption that the VGA will accept a progressive scan signal from my toshiba sd-900e via the denon? Would buying a seperate component board for the plasma yield a better picture? I don't seem to remember anyone else connecting to a PW6 via VGA alone... IS there a reason for this?

    Thanks

    Gary

What your suggesting was recommended to me by an experienced AV bod - so I think you'll be ok :)

(sorry that wasn't much help - but I thought any comment was better than none :) )

What you propose is in principle fine. The only area of doubt is that Toshiba and Panasonic do not always agree with each other, the DVD might have problems displaying. No way to know till you try though, and it'll be nothing to do with the connection method if it doesn't work well. I do this all the time, saves money on the board, and the denon is perfect, connect anything and it pumps it out as component.
