Sorry if we have been here before (done the search & FAQ's without success).

Will my P6 SD panel produce a better pq with the new HD Sky box through component?
    and/or
I notice on AV-Sales website they are offering the P8 SD panel with an HDMI board option, but, if the panel is not HD ready, why the HDMI board?
    and/or
If there is some benefit from the P8 SD fed Sky HD through HDMI, can it be done with my P6 SD panel for pq benefit, or does the HDMI for the P6 not exist?

Thankyou for reading, just need to get clear in my head the P6 SD + Sky HD pq possibilities.

The 8. generation PWD's are HD-"compatible" but not fully HD-Ready compliant, because of the lack of lines vertically... But they will be able to show all HD signals thrown at them...

Stick with your pw6 for now, and use component, better than the dvi anyway.
In another 12 months or so maybe look at getting the HD8? probably pick one up for £1500 no problem by then.
