Hi all having read some of the excellent posts on the PV500 am gonna go to the 42 inch model with stand.

I have seen the thing running in comet (usual crappy feeds).

Just got 2 further questions ...

    1. Does anyone know any good shops where I could demo (possibly buy if the price is right) a PV500 in the merseyside/wirral/chester area?

    2. Can any current PV500 owners post how they are getting on....

    ;)

Hi Steve. I've had my PV500CAB for just over 3 weeks an i am very pleased with it. I have had none of the problems mentioned in other threads on the forum so it's  for the PV500 in my case. Geoff. :)

    Same here, 100% happy.
You can have a look at mine, not too far away..

There is a panasonic shop at Blackburn with a hd feed to a 37"...but it can be a bit bright in the shop for a decent demo.

Hi Mal thanks for the offer, will be getting one prob in september time, so will give you a pm about that demo within the next month sometime, will be great to see it in action in someones actual home, what kit you got plugged into it? think i will get mine from empire direct online as they have the stand version for £2315 which seems like a good deal.

Only had mine since Thursday, very pleased with it, haven't noticed any problems so far.

If you've got a John Lewis anywhere near you, you'll probably find one running a HD demo.

I have got a Harmon Kardon DVD running through component, and an XBox with the hi-def kit.
My audio is a BOSE lifestyle.

If you want to bring anything round to plug in...I also have a spare HDMI and SCART leads coming from it.

I am in the middle of decorating, but hopefully I should have finished in the next 2-3 weeks.
It is a bit bright during the day for a demo..I haven't got any curtains up yet.

    My project is here:

You should be able to get it a bit cheaper than that...

I got mine from RGB Direct...they have it for £2179 with the free multiregion ES10 (+ £50 delivery)

Sorry, it is the cabinet he was looking for, have you looked at the PV500 prices thread?
Panasonic Leicester had a decent deal with the free ES10 (which you could sell for £150) and 3 year warranty (worth £200), not sure about the price, their number is in the prices thread:

well nothing much at the moment, i am assuming it comes with a freeview decoder built in, so all i will be plugging into it at the moment is my pioneer 575a dvd player via rgb scart i reckon. (this dvd player is already linked up to my surround sound system) will get a next gen console when they are out later in the year, so will prob use hdmi connection for that, the when blu-ray (or whatever they decide) comes out i will get a player for that, also i will prob bay a hd-dvd recorder, but dont know which one yet.

It does come with Freeview, you can bring your DVD round and see what it looks like on SCART.
If you get the free ES10 you can plug that in via component, it should give a better picture.

The reason you can't find it is that you have to go in under 'packages' and then 'panasonic', but don't ask me why. Good luck....
