Expecting delivery of my PV500 from John Lewis in the next 10 days.

For those of you lucky people who already have it, how easy is it to build the cabinet stand, or does it already come assembled?

And also, is fitting the screen itself onto the stand a two-man job?

I am getting mine tomorrow from John Lewis. I went for the £35 install option. They will assemble both the TV and the cabinet stand. Since this is a two person job, I though it was well worth the money.

About an hour to build the cab, took my time. You will need 2 people to lift onto stand. Also make sure you put the wheels on the cab.

Also just make sure you put the 2 metal prongs onto the stand correctly, as this isnt very clear on the drawing, otherwise plasma wont sit on stand correctly.

Hi, I just built my stand last night, it took about the same time to unpack the pieces and check all the parts were there as it did to assemble, I would think it took about 45mins from start to finish. I wasn't in any hurry so it may be possible to get it done faster, BTW all you need is a single philips style screwdriver. I did have a few minutes worry when I thought four screws were missing but there were four extra long ones (1ft ish) in a separate box - mind you the instructions show these as being normal screw length (so its not to scale).
I have the 37in and it took two of us to lift and locate on the stand, it may be possible on your own but it would be risky as the unit hand holds are far apart and the locating spikes on the stand are a snug fit.

Question for you guys - What's sort of height does the deepest shelf have? I'm looking to fit a Yammy 657 receiver and that need 17.1 cms.

Got delivery yesterday - was surprised by size of boxes! I spent about 45 mins assembling cabinet....I found you really needed to look carefully
at the diagrams in the instructions (not the clearest!), but it is quite
easy if you are patient and don't rush. You definately need two people
to fit the screen as it is very, very heavy (but easy to fit).

If I could expand on this question:

    Are the shelves adjustable?

Can you just have one in place?

(I have a large Kef Q9 speaker that needs a good home)

Thanks guys... Think I'll get one of my mates over to give me a hand.

On another note, do any of you have your PV500 connected to Sky or Sky+??
If, so do you connect it via RGB Scart and whats the PQ like?

I assembled my PE30 cabinet all all my own and that includes lifting it onto the stand. It sure would have been easier with two people!
