Very excited and destrought at the same time.... Excited as its my first thread but gutted that my pj seems to be capput!

Symptoms - Yesterday my other half said that it just turned its self off - i was at work and told her to leave it until i got home - I thought that it was a fuse or a overtemp issue... Got home and it started fine (after a bit of cajolling - ie talking out the lamp to ensure that it hadn't blown) It worked fine then.... enjoyed the fottie on sky sports HD and then a casino royale on the ps3 (I love my gadgets!)

Today - Got back from work and nothing.... Red light comes on on the top until i press the power button... it blinks green and i can hear the clunk/click as it starts to boot... then it stops it self and the light goes through orange on its way back to red! Doh. Then the light flickers and turns off completly.

    Things i have tried....
1.Man reset... (turn it off for a while and then back on again)
3.Bulb remove/refit... I put a new one in recently (after waiting 5 weeks after ordering it.... long story for another time!) and it only has 230hrs or so. It has been on low power mode also.
    4. Finally i started swearing and thought that i would ask the friendly chaps on av forum!

All is not lost though.... The other half has agreed to me either getting this fixed and selling it (as it is working out to be expensive to run) or getting a decent HD TV (ideally 1080p but i would miss the pj)

Any help would be greatly appreciated as i really don't want to go searching the net for the TV or my dreams and i haven't got the £2K needed for the pj of my dreams (ae1000!, 1080p panny)

    Ah, I used to have a ae700 (got a 1000 now - fab !)

unfortunately, it sounds like the bulb has gone to me.

It's not just useage that blows the bulb, as they are pretty delicate. I suspect moving your projector around from work to home etc might have done it.
