Doe anyone have a list of the letters attached to Panasonic camcorder model numbers, for example HC-V800 EB-K or EG etc.
Any reply appreciated.

You can get them off Panasonic's site, look under support.

These are on the one I sold.

reminds me that Pana "User Guides" are confusing + not very helpful for new users... having all the Model-variants in the one document . . . Isn't it plain laziness not to make them specific to one model ( =the one you have bought), , e.g by a "tagging system" so when you tick the model the other stuff disappears?
Cheers.

This is the answer I got from Panasonic:-
Therefore for the UK the model number should be HC-V800EB-K (Europe Britain-Colour black). The EG-K should be Europe Germany colour black.
Saved me from buying a cheaper HC-V800 which was aimed at the German market. I wonder, if any, what the difference is?

There are minor differences between the PAL standards in the UK and Germany, but I don't think they would affect the camcorder specs.
I would think difficulties with 'grey market' warranty claims are the most likely cause of any problems when buying a European model ...

Thanks rogs.
