I'm in the market for a new TV and have more or less decided on a Panasonic 42" plasma.

Not being very flush with cash, I'm looking at low end models and will probably go for a U30 or S30.

But now I see an S31 model appearing.

Does anyone know the difference between the S30 and S31?

S31 = Comet special. Amazon have the S30 for around £430 currently - only a few quid more than the U30

Same set just sold as S31 by Comet to stop price matching. You can also get the top end 2D G30 from Amazon for 567 or get Richer sounds to price match. The G30 looks better and has a few extra features, both are great sets and have full detailed reviews in the AVForums review section.http://www.avforums.com/review/Panasonic-G30-TX-P42G30-50G30-42G30-46G30-Plasma-TV-Review.html

Vickster your on early, didnt realise the S30 was that cheap, bargain.

I think the 31 indicates it is a store specific TV i.e. from Comet or Dixon's or something to the like. Don't think there's any specific difference between the S30 or S31

Is the S20 worth £28 more than the U30? I'm guessing it probably is.
