Hi, I have Panasonic Viera P42S30B and trying to connect to internet using Netgear N600 wireless adapter. When I o a connection test it shows results passed ut then it shows the error 'Communication with the Server failed. (005) After a while please try again.'
I've searched the forums and there is a mention about this error but no solution given. Please suggest if anyone knows anything about this.
    Thanks.

I'm getting this error too with the ST30? Wired connection, passes all the tests, no issues checking for firmware

The thing that fixed my 'Communication with the Server failed' error was entering in a static DNS entry that matched the one given by my internet provider.

I hope this works for you also.

    Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

Nope, didn't make any difference, can't see why it would

The connection tests all pass, doesn't make sense

got the same error on my VT65. Im sure Ive tried it with the wireless dongle and it worked previously.

Now Ive decorated the room, hung it on the wall and burried the network cables in the wall, its decided not to work.

Passes all tests, I can see on the router that the TV has an ip address. Ive even tried adding the TV to the DMZ on the router and it still fails connection.

This is bizzare. I shall try adding the wireless connection back on and see if that makes a difference. Although it shouldnt, its connecting to the same internet router..

Well I must have forgotten my basic IT training. The old switch it off and on again trick.

Tried the wireless dongle - no joy. Same error connecting to server (005) error.
Tried a software update and that couldnt connect to the server either.

Switched it off using the power button on the front. (not just standby from the remote)

Switched back on, viera connected, prompted for software update, which completed, and all is now working.

    Hope this may help others..

Excellent, thanks for that. Was having the same problems and followed your advice, the update was performed upon restarting the TV and now my youngest is sat in front of iPlayer HD... brilliant!
