Hi, I'd be grateful for some help.

I'm looking to upgrade from a 32" CRT possibly to a 42" Panasonic Plasma with Freesat. Currently I'm drawn to either the G20 or V20. I expect the TV to be mainly used to view Blu-ray, DVDs and SD and HD telly. It won't ever be used for gaming. Is the V20 worth the premium over the g20?

Film noir, classic Hollywood and classic BBC sitcoms are a big deal in my house - how well do these TV's cope with black and white content?

Also, can these Panasonics deal with diseqc switches?

    Thanks again for your help.

Given the nature of your viewing, I would recommend the V20 over the G20.

The V20 does exceptionally well at rendering black & white films due to the excellent dynamic range, massive contrast ratio and deep rich blacks.

Hope this clears a few things up and goodluck with whatever you choose.

+1 on that, V20 has the deepest blacks this year, G20s good but for your viewing Id spend the extra, I did.:) Check some SD out before buying the G or V20, great for HD and black level but SD can have issues.
