Hello there.

I recently came into possession of the above plasma TV from my in laws that doesn't work.
First things first it's bloody heavy. Ha.
When power is applied to it and it's switched to the green power led just flashes continuously, after about 10 seconds it stays as solid green for a second and then continues to flash for ever. A couple of clicks are heard, probably from relays.
I've taken the back off and all seems ok to the naked eye.

Any ideas from anyone?

Thanks.

According to the service manual for TX-P50ST30B (download here), page 18 tells you the problem according to how many times LED blinks. Worth take a look! :)

Hi, thanks for that, I'll have a look.
I had read about a fault when blinking seven times, but it seems to just constantly blink and is too fast to count. It could be the one blink after that though.

Use mobile phone to record it, then you can re-watch it in sloooooow motion :)

I’ve read that the Panasonic plasma’s can suffer from the screws holding the pcb’s getting lose and cause arcing that kills the boards, worth Checking them, plus have a look on YouTube there are videos repairing plasma’s

Yeah, I've read about that.
I've taken off the SC board and the mounting points don't look too bad. The screws didn't seem to be in particularly tight though, so maybe it is that.
I've got the service manual now so hopefully I can bring it back to life, nothing lost if not.

If you are stuck, search for a local Panasonic plasma repair specialist to get help. It always feels good to resurrect beautiful plasma! Of course even better if you can fix it yourself! :)

This guy has done a couple of Panasonic plasma’s

I've seen some videos that show thev flashing led for the error code, and it's always red obvious flashes.
This one seems different as it's a really fast constant green flash, almost like the TV is trying to come out of standby mode.
