Hi

A newbie on this site and I have a problem with my TV.

I have Panasonic Plasma TV that has developed a Light blue hand size oval blob which seems only really visible when the background colour is white.

Q1. Is this classed as dead pixels ?
Q2. Is this fixable and if so roughly what is going to cost me?
(I have Sky protect for this TV but does talk about not covering dead pixels)

Thank you in advance
Ken

How blue do you mean? Hint of blue, or royal blue...?

I think that regardless of the quality of your warranty it's unlikely your vendor will be able to repair it if it's faulty. They may be able to get boards but not panels.

It is more of a light cyan colour.

So would you say that they are stuck pixels in that colour?

Thanks
Ken

No such thing as a stick pixel on a plasma. You don't say where it is but you might want to blow the dust out of the fans behind the screen.

It is in the top centre area

So stuck pixels is not the cause?
I will try the clearing of dust

Thanks
Ken

You don’t say which model it is but my 65vt65 has two areas of the screen which get very warm when the set has been on a while and I see corresponding patches with a slight magenta bias in those areas.
These are invisible when the set is switched on from cold so I’m looking for ways to improve the cooling of the circuit boards mounted behind these areas of the panel.
