Ok, they are not selling them at discounted price but my local Tesco has installed 42" Panasonic plasmas everywhere throughout the store.
I wonder what criteria was used that lead them to choose Panasonic sets.
Reliability, performance or simply a very keen volume buying discount!

By the way, I'm still to purchase my first flat panel.

The plasmas in Tesco are PWD6's So they should have a pretty good picture.

There was a thread of here about one month ago regarding in-store LCD displays where I made the follwoing comment:

"I went into Tesco's flagship store in Kensington the other day. They had about 6 - 8 Panasonic plasmas hanging above the main aisle and a Panasonic 15 inch LCD hanging above many of the individual aisles.

    Certainly impressed me!"

Which Tesco do you shop at? :)

    They don't impress me.

The best one's I've seen are in my local Hi-Fi store and they were Hitachi and Sony.

I meant the amount of them rather than picture quality.

How mean how many times do you pop to the supermarket for a loaf of bread to be greeted by row after row of plasmas and LCDs?

Then you realise why the price of their bread suddenly requires more of your hard earned bread this week!

    ;)
