I know this isn't GC but can't find anywhere else to put it.
My problem is that I work away from home a lot and was trying to check my voicemail at home. Normally when the answer message comes on I press *0000. However I managed to press *00000 which then turned the answer machine off :suicide:.
Does anyone out there have a Panasonic cordless DECT phone with answer machine ( sorry don't know the model  ) and know how to turn on your answer machine remotely ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am away all week and don't want to leave it off all that time.
Please feel free to mock my ham fisted stupidity but please help if you can.

Don't know specifically but on most I've had, you just let the phone ring for something like 20 rings & then it switches on.

I seem to remember that some answerphones can be switched on remotely by letting the phone ring 25 times.

I would look it up but ironically I'm away all week too.

The panasonic website is often quite good for manuals, look up a part number on Argos and use that.

Thanks to both crocodile and andykn. The letting it ring for 20 rings or so worked a treat.

MODS - problem solved , please close
