hi ive got a panny pe37, which in gegeral compated to the lg i had is very good.
but im a bit picky and not happy watching the footy on it, the grass seems to smudge a bit when the cameras panning the pitch, if i turn it all down a bit ie, col, con, bright, i can get it a bit better but its still evident plus you lose the nice bright pic.
im using a red, gold scart lead cost abt 10 pounds, connected to rgb.
rgb is turned on on my sky box which is not sky plus.
is this a bit rate issue with sky, surely the footy should be high bitrate.
ive noticed on sky news studio pics the pic is amazing like dvd.
is there any improvement that can be done ie, service menu, or any gadgets to improve the footy-cheers chelly.
ps anyone got any setting they use on there pe37.

MAke sure that all the picture proccesing options are off.

Picture noise reduction and that sort of thing. This may help a little bit :)

One thing that these screens do not handle well is over saturation, as Dave-S said, make sure all processing modes are off and then set your colour.
Grass should look like it does in your garden, not like a sea of flourestent green, which most displays do.
I bet if you plugged a camcorder into your screen and pointed it out the window the screen would be over emphasising the colours.

Have a look at this thread....

thing is the grass at football matches is very special, looks like velvet! it is much greener than the average grass.

    An example.....

This is a pic of my dog outside with lots of green round him...

Now if this was shown on most displays you see it would look more like this.....

At this point the plasma or LCD starts to smear really badly, but not only that it isn't very natural looking either.
