I want to buy a 32" tv but I need some help chosing.
    The models are:
    Panasonic TX-32PG50
    Sony KV-32FQ70E
I like the Sony set very much but, after discover this forum and read about the "Sony buzz" I'm not so sure about this model, on the other hand, the Panasonic model is a little more expensive.
    Does it worth the difference?
    I need opinions.

PS: Sorry about my bad English!

    Img , here's my opinion .

Had three no sorry four TX32PB50's , all with a crap RF pic , dvd depended on the material and varied from Good to Fantastic . Two of these set's buzzed ! , 1 had bad geometry and all had the "dirty screen effect" which was VERY noticable during football matches

I now own a Sony FQ80 , looks great ,Geometry is near perfect , a slight buzz in either of the 100hz mode's but this is not noticable during normal viewing . 50Hz you cannot hear aything

Picture is Great on RF , Great on Sky (sky news is flawless) , Fantastic on DVD although the black level is not quite as deep as the panny .

all in all I would recommend the sony anyday over the panny . I feel panny have the better idea's , Prog scan etc is the way forward but at the end of the day the quality lacks

    Hi img,

I'd go for Sony as well, I have the FQ70, very happy with picture quality, no picture problems at all.

Re: the buzzing, mine does buzz, most noticeably when just switched on, but this dies down as the set warms up. Then it is hardly noticeable.

You can then only notice it when you have tv volume muted.

The Sony looks so much better as well. IMO.
