Panasonic or Samsung

Hi all I have the GX800 on order from Amazon but yet to get a despatch date in the meantime the 50TU8500 has gone on offer and can get for similar price but do I cancel the Panasonic and order the Samsung instead it will be mainly gaming Amazon prime and Netflix. Thanks

Then neither of those TV's is up to displaying HDR properly. They have no local dimming capability and don't get bright enough.

They may have HDR in their specification, but only so you don't get the green/grey washed out colours you got with early 4K non-HDR sets.

In order to get proper HDR you either need to spend more or really hurry and grab the last of the 2019 discounted TV's.
This happens every year, new models are brought out at full price and the older ones are discounted and sold through.

If you want a good HDR TV then see if you can find a Sony XF9005 anywhere. At a 50" size this should be about £650 now, it was a £1600 TV at launch.
