Panasonic NVL20 VCR problem

Stupid question, but have inherited a NVL20 VCR and cannot find anyway of accessing the menu to set the channel to the TV.. can anyone help please

If you connect it by scart lead you won't need to "set the channel to the TV"...just select the AV input on the TV it's connected to.
To access the tuning and other menu functions you need the correct remote...which you don't state if you have it?
