Can anyone help me? I have a Dell Lattitude MX-8 and Windoze XP installed. When I plug the IEE1394 cable into the Laptop it detect an unknown AV/C subunit, and nothing happens. I cant use Movie Maker, Premier, Video Sudio, or Pinnacle Studio 7 as nothing can "see" the camera.

I have contacted Panasonic UK and they sent me a mumbo jumbo about the incorrect drivers for the IEEE1394 port. (However it works great with my Canon MX300i.) It looks more to me like there are no XP drivers or configuration files for the MX8.

I am very impresses with the MX8 so far as the quality of the footage is great. But non linear editing is non existant at the moment.....
