Been using a TX-L42E5B for a few weeks and getting very frustrated with the picture setup. HDMI inputs work OK, always a consistent bright crisp picture and no problems. "Dynamic" setting is always brighter than the rest of the options - as it should be.
But the built-in Freeview HD tuner is very woolly. Contrast seems to fall to about half or less compared to the same source via HDMI from a (Humax) STB and the picture settings: "dynamic, normal, cinema, true cinema" don't make a lot of difference. Everything else in the menus has been tweaked. Is this normal for this TV and do I have to hope for a software update?
