Connect the video to the VCR socket on the digibox and the TV scart on the digibox to the HS2. If you want to archive a VHS tape to DVD you will need to change the AV2 input to composite video assuming you are using RGB with Sky.

Alternatively, you could connect the video to the AV4 connection, using a scart to phono lead, to avoid this hastle.

but what about the aeriel and rf cables.
my dvd instruction book shows the aeriel going into the back of the dvd but my digibox book shows it going into the sky box.
also what should go into the av2 scart socket on the dvd recorder.
also which scarts should go back to the tv.

Sky TV scart to HS2 AV2
    HS2 AV1 to TV AV1
    Sky VCR scart to VCR
VCR to TV AV2 ( if you have one )

    Sky set to RGB
    HS2 set to RGB
    HS2 AV2 set to RGB
    AV2 connection "Normal"

Sky passes through HS2 when HS2 is in standby to TV AV1.
If HS2 is on watch Sky by selecting AV2 on the HS2.
To record Sky select AV2 on the HS2.
To record from VCR onto DVDR select AV2 but change AV2. connection to composite video.
To record Sky onto VCR do as you presumably do now.

    RF - HS2 - VCR - TV.
You don't need the RF going into the Sky digibox.

What channel are you selecting on the DVDR? You should be using AV2.

Again - what channel do you select on the VCR when you want to record from Sky? It should be AV1 or AV2 depending on what scart socket on the VCR you connected your digibox to.
