Does anyone know if it is possible to upgrade the 40gb hard disk inside a panasonic HS2?
Any info would be much appreciated.

You can change it to a bigger unit but unfortunately it still only uses 40gb capacity which is all the internal hardware allows.

    Thanks,
Shame! Is it possible to upgrade the firmware on the unit to accept a bigger drive?

Only if you live in japan, and are prepared to pay panasonic to upgrade it for you. They won't do it on any other countries models, and no one has been able to find a way round the problem of getting the extra disc space to be seen by the machine.
