Does anyone know for sure which file format Panasonic use in their HDD recorders?

The experience of correspondents suggest it is not NTFS or FAT, but maybe LINUX.

(Some of us want to know because we are trying to rescue recordings we've erased.)

    Thanks.

There has been a lot of discussion of this in the past, and the consensus was that the operating system was unique to panasonic and the files cannot be recovered once deleted.

Indeed even if you could run recovery software on the hard drive by putting it into a computer you would have to retrieve the file there as when the hdd id reinserted into the recorder it will be automatically formatted loosing everything.
