Panasonic HD with Divx?

I am wanting to upgrade our Panasonic DVD recorder to a HD model soon. What I would ideally like is to be able to play Divx files as well. I have checked out the EH50 on the Internet and some suppiers say that it supports Divx and others that it doesn't, who is correct?
