I've dabbled in photography before but prefer the 'ole point and shoot method and as such I've been looking at the new Panasonic GX80. Any thoughts / alternatives on this?
Unless it's specifically the size of the GX80 that appeals don't forget that all DSLR's can be used in full auto mode as a very effective high image quality "Point and Shoot" camera.... for £500-£700 you could easily pick up a DSLR kit...
I've just bought the GX80 after not having an SLR for a few years and it's a great camera and can do everything auto or you can dabble in different modes. You will get some great pics from it no question.
@FaxFan2002 you can get the GX80 with kit lens for £329 after cashback here so well worth a punt within your budget. You could then grab a few primes once you want to explore more.
@techmob it does not have any mic input but you could always use an external sound recorder if needed something better than the internal mic.
