Hi,

The LCD screen My Panasonic FX9 when turned on, displays nothing only a black screen. Photos can be taken, flash turns on and checked memry cad all seems to be OK, apart from the screen.

I have read through the web, and apart from opening up and soldering, which I cannot do pr banging the camera n its side I cannot find any solutions.

I was wondering if this can be repaired from says a camera shop/specialist as the camera is out of warranty.

Any ideas on how much it would cost and if there is anyone on the forums who has the expertise. I live near Hertford in Hertfordshire.

Please help - or any info would be great

Have you looked on the web? Replacement screens are about £20.

Fitting isn't too difficult but everything is very cramped in there (I recently disassembled my FX9 that had a cracked screen - I was gutted). Lots of interesting technology for your £.

However, if you asked a camera repairer to fit one I guess you would be at least 1/3 the way to a replacement camera. Difficult choice sorry.
