Panasonic FP1. . . .Thoughts

Have been looking at replacing my old powershot a550, with something more upto date, with HD video, and all the latest perks like image stability, face recognition, big screen and so on. I am no expert, but I don't just buy anything either without some research.

I was originally looking to spend around £150, but stumbled over the Panasonic FP1 for £85 delivered with Amazon. Camerabox are doing it for £115 delivered, so seems a bargain. I only use a camera for days out, parties and holidays, so do I need anything better?. Have looked at some HD films from the FP1 and was very impressed, and also the auto focus is very quick.

So the question is, anyone recommend anything to compete with this. If there was something a lot better for maybe £30 more with the same features then I would be prepared to spend more.

Any advice appreciated.
