I am about to order an ES10 from ebuyer and need to get some media. Do I need the RAM discs in the caddy or will the disc on its own work? Does the recorder come with any media in the box?

Can you only do editing on DVD RAM discs?

    Thanks.

The disc on it's own will work.

Mine came with 5 RAM and 5 DVD-R, not sure if this is standard though.

I think you can only edit with RAM, not 100% sure though, I've never tried it.

The machine will use either. If you intend to use the DVD-RAM in other equipment then I would suggest getting caddyless discs.

Yes. Use DVD-RAM for editing, DVD-RW or DVD-R for compatibility.
