    Hi, as a newbie to DVD recording I have to say the forums are very interesting if somehat daunting at times!

    I recently set up the ES10 with the NTL box which was quite easy and the record/playback etc works fine.

    My problem is with my old VCR I could watch a digital channel whilst recording BBC1,2 ITV,C4. It seems this is now not possible as I have to change channel via AV2 on the DVD.

    I connected as follows:

    Aerial - RF in on DVD
    RF out - RF in on TV

    AV1 SCART - AVin TV
    AV2 SCART - DVD/VCR on NTL BOX

    Have I missed something?

    Hope someone can help.

    Cheers

    Tashy

    Hi Tashy

    You shouldn't have a problem, presuming your TV has 2 scart inputs. My connections are:

    Aerial -> RF in (DVD)
    RF out (DVD) -> TV

    AV a (ntl) -> TV AV1
    AV b (ntl) -> AV2 (DVD)
    AV2 (DVD) -> TV AV2

    When recording from terrestial, select channel 1,2,3, or 4 on the DVD. You can watch ntl by selecting AV1 on your TV and using your ntl remote.

    When recording from ntl, select channel AV2 on the DVD. You can watch terrestial by selecting 1,2,3, or 4 on your TV using the TV remote.

    Hope this helps

    Regards

    Thanks SmokyToby.

    Yes, TV has 2 Scarts so will connect as you advised.

    Thanks for your help.
