Can someone confirm that the EH50 is better than
the older E85,its available at a similiar price to the
E85 which is a bit puzzling.I would think its better
just wondered why its cheaper allready,I notice the
rrp price is a lot lower. Has anyone used both?I think
I will definately stick with Panasonic as the E55 has
done the job nicely but it lacks that HD.Thanks in advance.

For me the big advantage is that on LP mode it records at full resolution and fits 4 hours on a disc.

Yes I think thats the clincher and it looks
a bit more stylish so I think I will get the
50 thanks for that Jim

hi there, would love to know what's so good about the HD of the dvd recorder? what exactly can it do?

i've got a minidv, is it possible to capture the dv tape onto the HD, and then reproduce copies of it onto dvd-r? for my friends.

Would this speed up the whole writing process? as compared with a dvd recorder without a HD?

thanks a lot :)

If you save to the HDD in the same format i.e. -R then you can usually high speed dub to a DVD.
