I have a standard SKY box a sony TV with 3 scarts, and a E85 dvd recorder.

I have set it up according to the manual but am getting a blank screen when I timeslip.

What are the correct connections for enabling me to record and timeslip correctly, sorry if this has been answered before.

    cheers

Blank screen means that it is not receiving the correct type of signal, ie set the sky box to rgb out, and the av2 to rgb in. Don't make the mistake of using the vcr out scart on the digibox. as that is not in rgb. If you see a black screen in timeslip mode you are not recording a picture at all, and it won't be there in playback later either.
If you touch the tv button on the sky remote, the signal out will change from rgb to video and also result in the black screen with sound only

OK, so how do I change the setup, the av2 connection is allowing me to use the ext-link facility on the e-85.
My setup is currently like this do i need to change it round ?

Sony TV rgb--> Sky digibox input 1

SKY VCR output --> av2 on the dvd recorder

this means that I havent got any connections between the tv and the dvd recorder.

    is this right ?

OK, here's how mine is set up with no problems.

    TV Skybox scart - E85 AV2

Other E85 Scart on the back(Can't remember what it's called) - RGB telly scart

If you want to record in RGB you must use the telly scart on the Skybox - the video scart only outputs video.

Set the Skybox to output RGB, and the E85 to output and input RGB.

    This should now work.
