    Hi All,

A supplier has erroneously sent me some 8x DVD-R in place of the 4x DVD-R which I ordered.

Has anyone had any problems with 8x media in their Panny E55?

I know that Panny recommend max 4x media; a rule I have always adhered to; but 4x media is becoming hard to find.

    Any comments?

    :)

I think it depends on the brand of media you are using.

I was sent some 8X when I ordered 4X but so far (about 12 discs into 100) I haven't had a problem on the E55 - these were Ritek G05 dye printable 8X discs.

An update on this, I spoke to Panasonic, and they said 8x media (its actually 1-8x media) is fine.
Thanks for all of your input.
My Maxell discs are OK so far.
