I have recently purchased one the the excellent Panasonic E50 DVD Recorders, but I have a strange problem.

A couple of times now I have come down in the morning to find that the clock is displaying the wrong time.

This morning at around 8:10 it was displaying 21:51

If I go into the settings and turn the automatic time to off and back on again it magically puts the time right.

    Any ideas.

I have phoned Panasonic and they are not aware of any problems.

    Look forward to your comments

I will say that my Pansonic Video did it a couple of times too, but that was over a 6 year period

You probably have a weak terristrial signal.

The Panasonic updates the clock automatically from teletext.
Often a poor signal results in teletext errors.

This happened on my HS2 saturday night/sunday morning. There are reports of it affecting other video recorders too. Lets hope it's a one off!

I had this happen on a new Panasonic VCR (2 years ago). During November it kept losing the time and failing on recordings. Then as soon as the month changed to December it was fine and has been ever since ! Weird

It flippin' happened again last night, wondered why it wasn't recording and noticed the clock had "lost" ten hours, showed 10:28 and should have been 20:28.

Went into setup and I've changed it to be manual clock set.
