Having had a good read through this forum I'm on the verge of buying a Panasonic E50, so thanks to everyone for stacks of invaluable info that has helped greatly. However, my last question relates to multi region compatabilty. I've shopped round on the net and the best current deals are all aroud the 250 pound mark for Region 2 players, with little info on multi region options. So what I need to know is how easy/costly would it be to get my E50 modified at a later date. Alternatively has anyone come across any good deals on multi region E50's.

    Thanks.

There's certainly been a big hike in the price over the last couple of months. I got an MR one from RS for £227 which was about the cheapest it's ever been. Perhaps if you wait until January the price will go back to those sort of levels or even fall further.

www.dvdchips.co.uk will post you a 'chipped upgrade remote for £30 - one button press and a five minute wait and your Panasonic is multiregion.

You then post it back within 28 days or pay a £20 penalty. As I'd completely forgotten I have to do that, you are my new hero!
