Take a look at Comet for an E30 at £399.95 R2 only.
Surely this can be beaten
Yep price can be beaten though not by much.
£387 (+£10 for delivery) at Bargain Hifi
£396 (Includes Free DELIVERY) at qed-uk.com
uk.pricerunner.com makes it easy to find out the cheapest price.
Only £429 (+£10 pp) for the multiregion version.
Available from www.multiregionmagic.co.uk:grin:
I bet this recorder will be £300 early next year.
Its about time we got the progressive version like the Yanks get.
I plumbed for Comet 'cos my local store is only a mile away and although I bought it online (for obvious reasons) if it ever needed returning I can take it to the store rather than waiting for them to come pick it up. Agreed, it will come down to £300 but for £399.95 I'm happy to have it now.
ordered mine from Dixons on line (dont laugh everyone)
found a £20 discount voucher code on the net
bringing it down to £383.98p inc p+p
the code to enter in when confirming payment is
After being dick'd around by comet I'll follow your lead and look into Dixon's online price.
Wonder if I can just go into their store and pay?
dont bother wir=th dixons m8,
see this thread !!!
sorry, dont think link is working, heres the thread i sent
it was me,and the site was dixons.
DONT BOTHER ORDERING FROM DIXONS
My panny was stolen by a securicor omega driver
at my local depot,(obviously he was full of christmas spirit)
have spent past 2 weeks contacting dixons, who basically
said, they wouldnt send out a replacement, until it was confirmed
that the parcel was stolen by securicor.
In the end securicor regional manager, contacted dixons tp explain
that the parcel had gone missing(really it was stolen!! )
and could they send out a replacement,a.s.a.p as it was a xmas
present for the wife :-O
They said that it wouldnt be guaranteed for delivery before xmas,
and that i should treat it as a new years present(CHEEKY BASTARDS)
Doesnt this firm value a customer who spends nearly 400 squid, obviously they dont, there customer service is utter CRAP........
Have just recieved a multi region 1 for £429 +10 p+p.
Sorry to rant on,but if u spent the past 2 weeks, chasing a missing
xmas present(especially at this time of year, you will understand why im so ****ed off with Dixons
Since I've had crap service from Comet and you Dixons do we just put it down to bad luck and order from them anyway?
I guess the advantage of buying it in person is that you can hassle the store etc
May look into the John Lewis price match idea someone else suggested but still waiting for money to come through.... ie no Xmas presents for me....
ended up ordering a multi region model
from multiregion.co.uk,cost me £429,
but at least i can buy some dvd for my son
a bit cheaper from the usa
very happy with machine, just gotta understand
how all the various functions now!!
left the refund hassle with dixons, with my credit card company!!
Mark, it may have been me that mentioned John Lewis. Don't wait too long before you order. A Panasonic salesman told me they are discontinuing the E30 and replacing it with the E50. He also went on to say the E50 will be an inferior machine as Panasonic need to cut their costs to compete with Philips (cheaper components etc).
Might be worthwhile doing a bit of digging around to see if this is correct m8.
I doubt they'd launch a mew machine so quickly unless there's a major defect with it. It's not like software ;-)
I've just had my Canon G2 camera replaced by the G3 and that took a year and they did only minor improvements too it.
Need to wait till the money is in before I can splurge. DVD-RAMs will be here by then...
