Why will no one say how much the donation was?
Shhhh! - it's a secret! - if they tell you they'll be banned on the firmware-info site
I have done some research on this...
According to this post on videohelp.com the DMP-BD655P-K (Costco edition of the DMP-BD65P) cannot be unlocked with a remote control...
Hope this helps.
Now I remember seeing that. I think someone else posted it here, but this thread is so huge, I've forgotten everything I've read. Any region NTSC doesn't help. I need PAL capability. Guess the old player is still around for awhile until firmwareinfo decides they want more money.
Hello to all!
I've read this thread and was wondering if anyone still have the CD image with IR codes to unlock Panasonic DMP-BD45. I'd really appreciate this!!
What CD are you referring to ? - the Panasonic Service CD ?
After trying and getting rejected once, i read the forum here & sent the message exactly as firmwareinfo requested, and within 2 hours I had a response, and, after donating, within 2 hours I had the firmware.
I have upgraded & will test it tonight.
And how much did you donate?
I was referring to CD described in the first post:
so I was expecting the IR codes to unlock my dmp-bd45 DVD playback (not worried about blu-ray playback)
Could you help me?
I may be able to help - PM me an email address.
hey Jim thanks a lot for your help . . .I dont really know how to PM you (since I have access denied in my Private Messages tab) so here is my e-mail: email@example.com
Check your email
It took me a few goes and an apology to get through, the reason I got rejected a few times was because I wasn't following the instruction correctly. As soon as I did follow the instructions, I had the same experience as you.

I had to unplug and leave for a minute then plug the power in again as the record button on the front of the dvd player was unresponsive. However now the player is region free and plays my region 1 and region 2 discs OK, recording works the same as before
Thanks to everyones assistance on this forum, I've managaed to multi region my original wharfedale, two Sony blu-players and now my Panasonic dvd recorder
Same for me... Got removed 2 times before I was able to get through
Does the custom firmware for the Panasonic DMP-BDT110 enable devices that are NTFS formatted to be plugged in (for MKV playback), or is this still not possible?
Edit: Apparently they support exFat, which is just as flexible as NTFS.
i have a new panasonic bdt 110 and was looking for a BR codefree firmware .... like the most of you, i contacted "firmwareinfo.com" but my account was deleted because they dont accept new applications at the time ...
i dont know the reason for that as i dont want it for free but for me it doesnt make any sense at all ... i mean were talking about a software ... it seems that some of you had more luck and i want to ask if i could get the firmware from one of you guys ... like i said, i dont want it for free ... paypal is availabe, pls let me know
Their firmware wouldn't work for you as each is customised to the MAC address of the individual player to prevent copying
If you really want it just keep trying on the website
Codes also worked with URC 7940 on Panasonic DMR-EZ28. Again, thanks to all. Found one of these remotes for £10 on-line.
The cycle was as follows (I did all 5 steps for each of the 10 assignments)
Hold the 'M' for 3 secs until the power led flashes
enter 994 (power led flashes a couple of times)
press 'M' briefly (led flashes)
enter the 5 digit code and then the number button for assignment
(you get confirmation led flashes.)
Didn't have any problems getting the Multi Region hack from www.firmwareinfo.com followed the instructions by the letter and within 30mins my machine has now been made region free.
How you succeeded and when?
I'm getting deleted the whole time ("...we don't accept new applications...")
Please copy the text of your pm (with subject and without MAC ).
I PMd him what he asked for
Installed firmware revision (Can be found in configuration settings)
Desired enhanced firmware version
I PMd last week and got a reply within 10mins and paid and got the firmware within 30mins, I have also heard if you don't pay straight away he deletes the account so once he replies best to make payment and you will get the firmware within the hour.
I have now programmed my Harmony remote so I just hit region A or B and the player switches to the required region.
Good luck getting the firmware.
Got deleted again...
Someone help - what can I make better next time?
Subject: enhanced fw
If I post the pm it is shown in "outbox" but not in "sent messages". Is that okay?
On the package it only says "Panasonic DMP-BDT110EG".
Below the logos of the regions B and 2.
Maybe he's really fussy about how you spell "Expectations" ?
Oops, thanks for that.
Would be great if this is the key to the fw. I'll try later... (I got already two e-mail addresses blocked)
Put your expectations as : to play any region DVDs as dictated to is a very strong statement and perhaps he doesn't like the statement.
Is that "don't accept new applications" true or just an excuse...
Maybe I was a few days too late, can't be helped. Guess I'll try in a few weeks again.
Thanks for all the help so far.
