After researching this product it seems from all of you that it would be the best portable to spend my £200 on.

    Two questions..........

    * does the screen open to 180 degrees to enable it to hang inbetween the two backseats

    * where can i get one of those cases that allow it to hang

Please help as sons birthday is fast approaching.

Hi, the screen does not open to 180 degrees as such, but the hinge allows it to open and then be laid flat against the rest of the unit, effectively turning it into a panel type display unit.
    Hope that description makes sense.

Just to add, I am very pleased with my Panasonic DVD-LS50.

I do not know if there is a proper case for doing this, as it stands its a standalone unit.
But if you had a case or means to hold it in place you could.

(When the screen opens the arm its hinged on is fixed in the middle of the screen, the screen pivots over this point enabling it to then fold down into a panel type mode.
I did try finding a manual online but could not find one easily.
It might eb best to find a shope with one so you can see if it meets your needs.)
