Panasonic DP-UB820EBK attaching speakers

I have a Panasonic SA-BTT400 Blu ray player at the moment and thinking about purchasing a Panasonic DP-UB820EBK, can I attach the speakers which are 5.1 from the old Blu ray player to the new Blu ray player?

No. You can connect the 820 to the BTT400 via an optical cable making use of it's built in amps for 5.1. You would need to connect the 820 via HDMI to your TV for video.
