    Hi
I'm a bit confused. I have decided to buy a Panasonic DMREZ25 and have looked at various internet offers and find that Laskeys are offering the DMREZ25EBS for £145 delivered. First of all, is this too good to be true because other sites such as Comet offer this model at about £180 upwards The non "EBS" version seems to be on sale for about £150. Secondly, do I really need to worry about the difference in model (I understand the EBS model is multi-region and the other only region 2)? The spec on the site does not specify the regions.
    thanks
    S.

Hi suziq... Welcome to the forum.

The EBS suffix - simply means EB - configured for UK - and S = Silver.

It has no bearing on whether a unit is Multi region or not.

No machines are supplied from the manufacturer as multi-region.
Making a unit multi region is a non-official modification which the manufacturers do not support and will not guarantee.

These modifications are done by dealers and they back the guarantee...which they are obliged to do by law in any case.

Back to the EBS issue: It is often left tacet... so its absence does not mean it is NOT an EBS model.
It is reasonable to expect if you buy in the UK region that it will be a UK model... But the easiest way to cover yourself is to specifically specify that , if and when you order.

Yes, sorry I did'nt intend to imply that it was still available, it is only 5% cash back now. However, with 5% off it is still quite a good price at £142.49 including delivery.

You will not get a multi-region modded machine from either Dixons or Comet whereas you will from SVP or Digital-point. Dunno about Lasky's. Check out the retailers offers on this machine - top of the forum main page.

not sure but i think the extended warranty costs more now for DVD-R's at Richer sounds......im sure i read it said £59 under an advert for the Panny EX75...unless its price divided.....

i remember the good old days when it was £9.99 on anything they sold....of course back then they didnt sell Plasmas and the like...lol

Do richer sounds do Multi Region? the nearest one to me is Bournemouth I think, been in there before and always liked the service, I am sure I got my Teac Reference 300 from there, and they did a great deal on the system and cables
