    Hi All
I've just set up my new EX77 with a Panasonic 26LXD70 TV. I've a couple of questions that I can't figure out from the manuals:

1 = I've only used an HDMI cable to connect the two. Should I also connect them with a SCART cable? What extra function would that give me?
2 = According to the manual, if I have the TV on standby and press "guide" on the EX77 remote, it should switch on the TV. It does that and displays the EX77's EPG. However when I select a programme it shows that briefly before switching back to the native TV display. I have power on prefs set to "AV" on the telly so what's going wrong?

    any tips greatly appreciated
    ta
    Martin

Using the scart won't add any extra functionality. If anything it's just likely to confuse the TV as the TV may auto-switch to the Scart signal rather than using the HDMI.

You need use HDMI if you want to output a 720p/1080i upscaled signal.
