I have a DVD recorder Panasonic DMRE60 and its brill. However, I want to upgrade to a home cinema system. Can I use the DMRE60 as the basis for the system or do I need to buy an all-in-one system like the Panny SCHT900? I don't really want to do this cos the DMRE60 is a great player in itself.
What I really want to do is connect the DMRE60 to an AV receiver - can I do that? The Marantz SR5400 is the one I am currently looking at cos it's had some great reveiws - anyone out there got one? Then theres the speakers - any ideas - I've got quite a big lounge 21' x 16' x 10' high so I guess I'll need speakers with a bit of oomph. But then theres the cost to consider - my total budget (receiver and speakers) is £500 to £600 tops. Another option is to stick with Panasonic and go for their SA-XR45 digital receiver with their SBTP20 5:1 Speaker package. The more mags I read the more confused I get - can anybody help please?
